The Northpark 25 development proposal would allow massive warehouses up to 48 feet in height with hundreds of loading docks directly adjacent to residential communities.
For first time visitors
The Northpark 25 proposal is a reckless effort to subvert the established city planning design. Don’t let this blatant attempt to undermine our future succeed. We need your help to STOP NORTHPARK 25.
Our Fighting Approach
Gathering the Facts
We are scouring available resources for city planning guidelines, legal arguments, historical decisions, and supporting documentation to support our fighting arsenal.
Obtaining Legal Counsel
We are interviewing lawyers experienced in fighting unscrupulous developers.
Contacting Our Policy Makers
We believe our Thornton City Council members will support us in this battle. We just need to make our voices heard and provide them with logical and well-presented arguments.
Mobilizing Our Neighbors
Thousands of neighbors and commuters will be adversely impacted if this proposal is adopted. Join us in our planning, documentation reviews, and fund raising to secure the safety and security of our neighborhoods and traffic patterns.
Alerting the Media
Shining a spotlight on the numerous shortcomings of the Northpark 25 proposal is essential to our fight. Print and broadcast media outlets will be contacted. We will also use all of our social media resources to spread the word.
Organizing Protests
To ensure a maximum number of impacted citizens are alerted to this reckless proposal, we will be planning various protests to express our outrage and to enlist even more support.
Approach
Neighborhood Coordination
More than a thousand households will be directly affected by the commercialization of this family farming area. We plan to incorporate flyers, mailers, media resources, and door-to-door contact to engage our neighbors and fellow voters.
Five Spheres. One Mission.
There are many arguments against the Northpark 25 proposal. If you have even more concerns, let us know!

The developer meeting conducted by LMB Capital Partners, concluded with a lot of non-answers. There is apparently no environmental impact study, no resolution on the moratorium for water taps, and a number of traffic signals will be added on York at every intersection from Trailside’s access points. Due to the very poor organization of the meeting and the volume of traffic most attendees were unable to hear the responses or ask any questions.
From the 19 Sep 2019 letter to City Planners: ” I am opposed to the city staff’s proposed FLUM (Future Land Use Map) change on the the north half (more specifically affecting about 75 of the 164 acre parcel) from Residential Medium to Employment Center for a number of reasons.”
Policy ODN 3.2 – “High-Quality Neighborhoods. Encourage design and development that contributes to the long-term stability and desirability of its neighborhoods.”
